Northern Mie

• Kuwana : Teppen Noriaki Nagasaka

  Both Teppen are amazing, high end izakaya. The staff are insanely friendly and will leave you feeling like a king or queen. The two locations are located just down the street from one another. The one closer to the station focus on grilled meat and grilled veggies (not vegetarian friendly as they always come wrapped in bacon). The second focuses on seafood and offers an array of veggie-friendly options. Both are a 5 minute walk from Kuwana Stn.

• Yokkaichi : Escape International - Mon~Thu (7pm~4am), Fri~Sat (6pm-5am)

  All drinks 500¥, monthly DJ & dancing events! Leave via the North Exit of Kintetsu-Yokkaichi Station, turn right and cross the street. Take the street to the right immediately after the Homerun Pachinko and Karaoke place.(3rd street on the right) Escape is about 20 yards down on the left side.

• Yokkaichi : OXO British Cafe and Pub

  A great place to go with friends before some karaoke or to catch a live football match. Simlar to HUB, OXO offers a wide assortment of import beers, liquor, and pub-style food.

• Yokkaichi : Subway Bar

  Good place with dancing on the second level and an open roof for chilling on the third level.

• Yokkaichi : Side-6

  Gundam-themed cafe/bar with gear models all over the place as well as thematic food/drink names. Great for otaku.

Central Mie

• Tsu : Melting Pot

  Between Tsu-Shinmachi Station and Route 23. A very popular club among the ex-pat and Japanese community.

• Matsusaka : Hunky Dory

  One of the few bars in Mie that will happily take truckloads of foreigners -- thus is the site of many AJET events.

Eastern Mie

• Ise : Biyagura

  Enjoy one of Mie's only craft breweries, which serves the varieties of Ise Kadoya beer on tap

• Shima : Standard Bar

  Great little western-style bar in Wagu.

Western Mie

• Nabari : Banja Yashiki (番じゃ屋敷)

  Tasty izakaya near Nabari Station
