Subway Bar

Subway Bar or just Subway is a bar with a relaxed atmosphere in Yokkaichi in northern Mie. It is located very close to Kintetsu-Yokkaichi Station and is open late.

Facilities

Three stories:

  • 1st floor: Entrance
  • 2nd floor: Bar, dance floor, and rest area
  • 3rd floor: Open roof

Hours

  • Sun-Thu: 21:00 ~ 24:00
  • Fri-Sat: 21:00 ~ 03:00

Private parties can run later

Prices

  • Alcoholic drinks: ¥500
  • Non-alcoholic drinks: ¥400

Directions

By Train

Make your way to Kintetsu-Yokkaichi (近鉄四日市) Station. It's about five minutes from the station.

  1. Take the north exit from the station and head right when you see the pillar that has constellations painted on it.
  2. You'll shortly come to a stop-light leading into a shopping street. Turn left at this light (don't go down the shopping street).
  3. Walk to the first stop light. The Loisir Hotel should be just across the way. Turn right onto the road that runs in front of the Loisir Hotel.
  4. Walk past the front of the hotel, and turn left onto the sidestreet immediately after the hotel.
  5. Take the first right, down another sidestreet.
  6. Subway will be on your right. If you reach Suwa Park (諏訪公園), you've gone too far.

By Car

Coming from Kuwana

  1. On Route 1 near downtown Yokkaichi, look for the manga cafe "Super Freaks". It will be on the right side of the road on the corner of the intersection named 中部. Turn right here.
  2. At the second stop light, turn left. Park your car around here, then on foot find your way to the stop light in front of the Loisir Hotel.
  3. Head east at this intersection, towards Suwa Park (諏訪公園).
  4. Walk past the front of the Loisir Hotel, and turn left onto the sidestreet immediately after the hotel.
  5. Take the first right, down another sidestreet.
  6. Subway will be on your right. If you reach Suwa Park, you've gone too far.

Coming from Suzuka

  1. On Route 1 near downtown Yokkaichi, look for the manga cafe "Super Freaks". It will be on the left side of the road on the corner of the intersection named 中部. Turn left here.
