Red Light, Green Light

Materials
Open space for students to run around
Directions
One student stands at one end of the room and the other students line up at least twenty feet away (or at the other end). The lone student faces away from them, says 'green light' and other students run towards them until the student turns around and says 'red light' at which point all students must freeze. If they move, they have to go back to the starting line. The first student to touch the lone student switches with them.
Variations
- Instead of saying colors, have them say vocabulary from a category and students must do the gesture when they freeze.
