Wheel of Fortune

Materials
A wheel of fortune (can be made from a mini lazy susan/spice rack available at Daiso)
Directions
To make the wheel of fortune, get a lazy susan (test out its spinny-ness before buying) and cut out a sheet of poster paper into a circle that fits inside the tray. Use a marker to divide the circle into as many slices as you like, and give each slice a point value (don't forget Bankrupt). Make an arrow on poster paper and tape it underneath the tray so that the arrow is visible from above and lines up with the edge of the tray.
Split students into teams of up to 5. Similar to the traditional game play, blanks corresponding to letters are on the board, each team spins the wheel, and gain (or lose) that many points if their letter is (or isn't) in the phrase. Play until the word or phrase is completed, the team with the most points wins.
Variations
- To make the game more versatile than only the ABC's and spelling, assign a few different questions to each point value, with more difficult questions corresponding to higher point values.
