Melting Pot

The Melting Pot has long been a staple venue for AJET social events and, true to its name, is a great place for JETs, ex-pats and locals to mingle over drinks and music. It's conveniently located 3 minutes away from Tsu-Shinmachi Stn. (Kintetsu) in Tsu and stays open till first trains.

By Train

Melting Pot is very close to Tsu-Shinmachi Station which is a Kintetsu station in central Tsu, so you need to get to the Kintetsu. Go to Tsu (津) Station and transfer to Kintetsu, Shinmachi is just one station south (read below...)

Kintetsu

The Melting Pot is only a 3 minute walk from Tsu-Shinmachi (津新町) Station　which is an express stop. It is one stop south of Tsu Station, and any trains bound for Ise-Nakagawa, Matsusaka, Ujiyamada, etc. departing Tsu will stop at Tsu-Shinmachi. Limited express trains, however, do not stop here.

From Tsu-Shinmachi Station

Once you arrive at Tsu-Shinmachi Station, walk out the ticket gates and turn right and walk out to a road that crosses the train tracks. Proceed right over the train tracks. You will now be heading east (towards the ocean) and you will pass the Snow Drop and a ramen shop. The Melting Pot will be on your right hand side just past the ramen shop (just look for the Christmas lights!)
