  • Tokyo's Flag and National Anthem Law
    About a nationalistic law stating that all teachers (in Tokyo) are required to sing the national anthem and make their students do so as well at the graduation ceremony. You can tell a lot about your teachers' political viewpoints by watching them at the graduation ceremony and seeing if they sing (loudly) or refrain from singing.
