*:After you see the shrine, this traditional (tourist) village in the style of old Japan is right next-door. It has plenty of traditional craft stores for you to peruse, and those all-time favorites 'Tofu ice-cream', 'Akafuku mochi' (a sweet dessert with the mochi on the inside), and 'Ise Udon' (udon noodles in soy sauce really). On the weekends, there are often Taiko demonstrations in the central courtyard. There are also some shrine museums and many gift shops ranging from tacky to treasures. There is a bus from the Outer Shrine to the Inner Shrine that stops near Okage Yoko-cho. It's about 400 yen one-way, and the stop is called Jingu-Kaikan-mae.
