Welcome to the Mie Guidebook!
This will explain a bit about how to edit an article.
Editing an article
Basic Steps
- First you need to log in. The log in portal can be accessed in the upper-right corner of the screen. No registration is required, you must use you Mie JETs forum username and password.
- Make your way to the article you want to edit
- To begin editing, click the "edit" tab at the very top of the page. If you only want to edit a specific section, you can click the "edit" link on the right-hand side of the screen that correspond to the different headings.
- Make your changes. Please see formatting for information about how to format and markup your text.
- In the "Summary" box, give a brief note about the changes you made to the article
- If only fixing typos, broken links, or formatting (ie, not adding or removing any information), check the box that says "This is a minor edit"
- Preview your changes by clicking "Show preview"
- If you like what you see, then click "Save page"
- You're done!

Do's and Don'ts
- Do add maps. Directions are ideal as well.

- Don't refer to JETs by name.
